"The challenge to increase the prestige of the engineering and technical professions, to develop children and youth technical creativity was posed by the President Vladimir Putin - said Stanislav Kazarin, addressing the festival participants. - I am glad that it is being implemented in Samara earlier than in other regions. I wish good luck to the festival participants. But most importantly, we are waiting for you in the walls of our engineering universities, primarily in the Samara Aerospace University. Perhaps it is you have to develop deep space, colonize the Moon and perform asteroid protection of the Earth".
The specialists’ experience and achievements of SSAU Centre of Mechatronic Systems and Robotic Complexes will be used the in the program "Formation of personnel potential for the aerospace industry [...]". Within the framework of the Project at least 52 schools in Samara Region will create classes for studying the discipline "Practical Robotics".
It’s necessary to train 100 teachers for teaching of the subject. Until 2016 the program initiators intend to implement 37 events aimed at enhancing the technical abilities of pupils.
"I am pleased to see hot-eyed people enthusiastic in technical creativity who gathered at the festival, - said Evgeniy Shakhmatov at the opening ceremony "R2-D2". – It will fall to you eventually to promote scientific and technological progress. Looking at you, I realize that science in Russia will have a wonderful future. Of course, the robots will become an integral part thereof.
