Dmitriy Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, opened the tenth anniversary international exhibition “Gidroaviasalon- 2014”. Samara State Aerospace University also took part in the exhibition.
During the meeting, Dmitriy Rogozin spoke with SSAU students and signed consent to head the Supervisory Board of the university. “Deputy Prime Minister wrote right on my appeal to him: ”With pleasure, I agree” and signed - Rogozin. Such an interesting signature we have”, - told Evgeniy Shakhmatov, SSAU Rector to the Volga News. The Rector is sure, that the joint efforts of SSAU, Government of the Russian Federation and the region will give a good effect.
A key role in the development of SSAU played Nikolay Merkushkin, the Head of the region. In May last year, the university was among the top 15 universities in the country thanks to the support of the regional government and is now it is fighting for getting into the top 100 universities in the world.
“SSAU became in the focus of the country's leadership and started a direct cooperation with major state corporations. During these years, the university was visited by the Government of the Russian Federation, the leadership of the Russian Space Agency ROSCOSMOS,” - said the Head of the region in one of his speeches.
Dmitriy Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister, who has repeatedly noted the high level of professional education in the region, also came to Samara Region at the personal invitation of Nikolay Merkushkin.
In the spring of this year it has become known, that Rogozin will personally supervise the further SSAU work.
“Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister, has recently agreed to lead SSAU Supervisory Board - a new chief governing body of the university. His active participation in the university work would only strengthen the university position and will give another advantage in its development”, - said Nikolay Merkushkin in one of his recent interview.
