The aim of the Space Camp program is to promote achievements of Russian manned cosmonautics and space exploration. It is also intended to induce the interest of the young generation (high school, colleges and university students) in aero-space professions, feasibility of studying at Russian Universities and Institutes, as well as in cosmonauts' training techniques and technologies on the premises of the Gagarin Russian State Scientific-Research and Test Center of Cosmonaut Training.

Program participants have a unique chance both to watch a wide range of training sessions and experiments and to take an active part in them, as well as to meet Russian cosmonauts, designers, scientists, instructors in space training, students of Moscow high schools and universities.
One of the main tasks of the Space Camp program is to facilitate cooperation with educational institutions in Russia and abroad in proliferation and mastering of acquired knowledge in a form of space-related quizzes, contests, scientific experiments, on line- and videoconferences.
This is a unique educational program of that kind in the world, which not only familiarizes its participants with the latest advanced technologies, but also gives the idea of great importance of space exploration for the whole mankind. It also teaches, how to love and to treasure our common house, called the Earth planet.
