Just in six months SSAU has significantly advanced in the world ranking of universities Webometrics

Webometrics presented an updated version of the world ranking of universities, which assesses the presence of universities on the Internet. Since February 2014 Samara State Aerospace University has significantly improved its position in Russian as well as in the world part of ranking.
Among the nearly 22 thousand universities in the world ranked by Webometrics experts, SSAU has risen immediately to 1267 positions and took the 2518-th place. Samara State Aerospace University has risen from the 86-th to the 42-th place among Russian universities.
According to Webometrics experts’ estimates, SSAU succeeded in improving a number of key criteria. Including the level of link popularity and the number of inbound links to the university domain.
For reference. International rating Webometrics is held since 2004. It is prepared by the company Cybermetrics Lab, a member of the Centro de Información y Documentación at the Superior Council for Scientific Research in Spain. The rating evaluates representation of universities in the Internet space and is published twice a year.
Criteria for analysing the sites of universities are, in particular, the number of inbound links, the number of indexed pages and citation index. At the same time the rating drafters do not evaluate the website design and do not take into account its popularity.
