Ида и Дактил: астероид и спутник Ida and Dactyl: Asteroid and Moon
29.06.1997

This asteroid has a moon! The robot spacecraft Galileo currently exploring the Jovian system, encountered and photographed two asteroids during its long journey to Jupiter. Неожиданная валентинка. От астероида An Unexpected Asteroid Valentine
13.02.2000

Maybe the Moon owns our hearts, but this won't stop the occasional asteroid from sending us a valentine. Friday, to the surprise of many, the NEAR mission on approach to asteroid 433 EROS photographed what appears to be a heart-shaped depression.

Прохождение астероида 1998 WT24 около Земли Asteroid 1998 WT24 Passes Near Earth
23.12.2001

Last week, an asteroid approached unusually close to the Earth. Passing well outside the orbit of our Moon, Asteroid 1998 WT24 posed no danger, but became bright enough to see with binoculars and to track with radar. Pictured above, the kilometer-sized asteroid was imaged crossing the sky on December 14, two days before closest approach.
