Remarks:
These new variables were found by searching UCAC2 catalogue data (Zacharias et al. 2004) in portions of the southern sky for red (UCmag-Ks>=6) stars. The resulting list was checked against lists of known variables. Once known variables were eliminated, the remainder were checked by eye in ASAS-3 (Pojmanski 2002) for variability. Spectral types are from MacConnell (1993) unless otherwise noted. Stated positions are all from UCAC2.

This research made use of the VizieR catalogue access tool (Ochsenbein et al. 2000), NASA's Astrophysics Data System, and AAVSO's Variable Star Index (VSX). The author gratefully acknowledges the valuable contributions of Dr. S.V. Antipin in the completion of this work.
