UMMARY

Shaimardanov R.T. 2006. Bats of the State National Nature Park "Altyn-Emel" and adjacent territories in the Ili Basin. ­ Plecotus et al. 9: 32-37. The Ili Basin lies between the Dzhungarsky Alatau range in the north and Zailiysky Alatau range in the south of southeastren Kazakhstan. The State National Park "Altyn-Emel" occupies some 80% of the right bank (northern) part of the basin. Seven bat species have

been recorded in the territory of the park: Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Myotis blythii, M. mystacinus, Pipistrellus pipistrellus, Hypsugo savii, Eptesicus serotinus and Vespertilio murinus. For adjacent territories, the same species are known and five more species have been found: Plecotus austriacus, Barbastella leucomelas, Nyctalus noctula, E. nilssonii and E. gobiensis.
