The Accelerator Theory Group at GSI Darmstadt
is currently looking for PhD students who are interested
in applying computer simulations and in performing measurements
at the GSI accelerators, in order to investigate stability properties
of high-intensity beams in ring accelerators.
We are looking for motivated candidates with a Master
or Specialist degree in physics.
Any experience with accelerator physics or plasma physics
would be an advantage.
GSI Darmstadt is a leading center worldwide
for research with heavy-ion beams.
GSI operates a large, in many aspects unique accelerator facility.
The research program at GSI covers a broad range of activities
extending from nuclear and atomic physics
to plasma and materials research to biophysics and cancer therapy.
