Russian Programs in American Universities
Davis Center for
Russian Studies at Harvard University. The Center aims at developing of
fundamental knowledge about Russia, its culture, and its institutions. The Center
also examines Russia in its regional and historical context, and welcomes and
supports the study of neighboring countries that have been either integrated
with, or subordinated to, the Russian state at various periods in history, or
whose experience poses intellectual problems similar to those of Russia. Thus,
subjects of research also include the other members of the Commonwealth of Independent
States, former Soviet republics that do not belong to the CIS, and the countries
of Eastern and Central Europe.

Brown
University Slavic Department. The program presents the Slavic world not
as a monolithic whole, but rather as consisting of a number of diverse cultures
and traditions with emphasis on the languages and cultures of Russia and
Czech Republic.
Center for European

unit for the programs offered at UCLA. The website also contains links to important
