VirtualBox 2, после очередного запуска объявил мне, что сохраненное состояние виртуальной машины некорректно и сказал сбросить его. Жму "Отменить" состояние виртуальной машины и получаю вот такое окошко:

You know how sometimes if you mistype a filename in Bash, it corrects your spelling and runs the command anyway? Such as when changing directory, or opening a file.
I have invented Suicide Linux. Any time - any time - you type any remotely incorrect command, the interpreter creatively resolves it into "rm -rf /" and wipes your hard drive.
It's a game. Like walking a tightrope. You have to see how long you can continue to use the operating system before losing all your data.

Джеми Дюрран (Jamie Durrant) утверждает, что после того, как бывшие коллеги узнали о его нетрадиционной ориентации, над ним стали постоянно подшучивать и обращаться к нему 'гомик Джим' или 'голубой'. Дизайнер не смог это стерпеть, уволился из компании и не работал 7 месяцев из-за депрессии.

Не смешно, но интересно.
Линус, оказывается, использует btrfs как /.
(Речь про изменение формата btrfs в 2.6.31-rc1, после которого более старое ядро не сможет его подмонтировать)

Auugh.
This is horrible. I just screwed up my system by booting a kernel on this:
it worked beatifully, but due to other reasons I then wanted to bisect a
totally unrelated issue. While having _totally_ forgotten about this
issue, even if I was technically aware of it.
.. so I installed a new kernel, and now it won't boot due to "couldn't
mount because of unsupported optional features (1)". In fact, I have no
kernel available on that system that will boot, since my normal "safe"
fall-back kernels are all distro kernels that can't boot this either.
Ok, so I'll end up booting from a USB stick, and it will all work out in
the end, but this does essentially make it entirely impossible to do any
bisection on any btrfs system.
Double-plus-ungood.
