P.A. Sorokin entered the history of the world of science as the creator of the integrated model of society, a developer of innovative approaches to the explanation of various social processes, the author of a number of new ideas, concepts and methods of social knowledge. Along with it, the methodology of the analysis of the scale social phenomena, based on a systematic and critical review of the most important theories, explaining their essence and the reasons of occurrence became distinctive feature of creativity of this sociologist. In this paper, the example of the phenomenon of war, details the P.A. Sorokin's methodology, which he applied to the analysis of such global social phenomena.
