Our projects

Success Formula http://successformula.ru/ Every year since 2004, the MSU Science Park has conducted an educational program and an innovation project competition called “Success Formula” (www.successformula.ru). It is run in accordance with the educational course “Fundamentals of Business Innovation”. The program was conducted for the first time in 2004 with the support of the British Council and the Fund of Assistance for the Development of Small Enterprises in the Scientific-and-Technical Sphere (www.fasie.ru).

The program is based on the experience that SAID Business School of Oxford University and Oxford Innovation had in holding a competition into business planning. As part of “Success Formula”, more than 2000 people completed the training, more than 350 business innovation ideas were developed, and more than 170 business plans were prepared, all of which were presented to jurors and investors. More than 30 high-tech companies were founded by former students of the program and these companies are still operating successfully today.
Formula IT http://it11.ru/ An annual, specialized educational program for people wishing to launch an information technology start-up business or join the team of a prospective, future start-up project. The program consists of an educational part, conducted by IT business gurus, as well as a project competition component. Winners receive financial support for launching their projects.
Formula Bio http://formulabio.ru/ A collaborative project between the MSU Science Park and the Faculty of Biology at MSU. It is supported by ROSNANO, funders of educational and infrastructural programs and Russian venture capital company for people who wish to take part in the creation of genuine business projects in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medicine. After the rigorous interview, successful participants have the opportunity as part of the program: to complete a free educational program, including a trainee job placement in the biotechnology cluster in Boston, USA; to create a team of like-minded people; to choose a prospective spin-off project proposed by the Rosnano portfolio of companies (State Corporation ‘Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies’) and to launch a biotechnology start-up project with the support of a donor company acting as one of the partners.

Department of Innovation Policy and International Relations in the area of Science http://www.msu.ru/ One of the necessary administration tasks is the development of policy for innovation activities and the coordination of operational elements that form part of the innovation infrastructure of Moscow State University.
Center of Technology Transfer of Moscow State University http://www.ctt.msu.ru/ The Center was founded in 2004 as a structural subdivision of Moscow University. The operational purpose of the Center of Technology Transfer of Moscow State University is to provide assistance in the development of innovation activities in MSU, to create conditions for effective collaboration between the university and industry, to secure the transfer of research activity results by MSU employees due to licensing technologies, to create technology companies from university-based activities as well as attracting research contracts and grants to MSU. In the Center of Technology Transfer of Moscow State University special attention is paid to increasing the awareness, teaching and consulting of MSU employees and students in the commercialization of scientific results and adopting an entrepreneurial approach to science and technology.
Chair of Innovation Economics of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University http://iedmsu.ru/ The chair was originally founded in 1954 as the Chair of Industrial Economics. It has been operating since 2007 under its present name. In collaboration with the Center of Technology Transfer at Moscow State University and the Chair of Innovation Economics, MSU Science park offers a wide range of educational programs like ‘Success Formula’ as well as infrastructure projects geared to the incubation of new technology companies on the Moscow University site.
Biotechnology Business Incubator http://www.biotech-msu.ru/ It was established at Moscow University with the financial support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation and it was situated in the MSU Faculty of Biology. The main purpose of the Incubator is to support and advance innovation projects in the field of bio-pharmaceuticals. It has a planned implementation date of 2013. The total area of the Biotechnology Incubator site is 3,700 m2. It will have a modern vivarium that will allow not only the conduct of animal studies and the teaching of students but also the conduct of preclinical trials into newly developed drug products. The Incubator will also have a modern biotechnology unit for conducting preliminary studies into new drugs, and for completing regulations. It will also have laboratory and office rooms available for biotechnology start-up companies.

MSU Science Park was initially appointed as a curator in this field of work. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology it was responsible for project development, preparing the application, attracting the financial support and working closely with federal ministries as instructed by the the board of directors. Today, in accordance with Federal Law FZ-217, a specialized management company has been created in MSU for the Incubator with responsibility for managing all of its operational processes.
Student business incubator http://inmsu.ru/ A new infrastructure project was launched at Moscow University in 2011 as part of a program concerned with the development of MSU’s innovation infrastructure. It has the support of the MSU Department of Innovation Policy and International Scientific Relations, the Science Park, the Center of Technology Transfer and the MSU Faculty of Economics (Chair of Innovation Economy). This is a new place for creating and developing youth innovation projects in different areas of science and business. The MSU Student Business Incubator has set specific goals to pay special attention to residents and participants and to create favorable conditions for the development of business innovation projects. Residents and participants not only enjoy well equipped work places but are also able to access different consulting and education services.
Festival of Science http://www.festivalnauki.ru/ The Festival’s principal aim is to ensure Society understands what scientists do and the kind of influence modern science has on all our lives. This information is presented in an easily accessible form. During the festival, popular lectures are held on different aspects of scientific research. There are also exhibitions and interactive expositions that can be visited by everybody, free of cost. The MSU Science park organized the first and second Festival of Science at Moscow University by order of the Rector of Moscow University, Academician V.A. Sadovnichiy. Today, a specialized organization has been founded in MSU to organize and conduct Festivals of Science – the Direction of the Festival of Science LLC (ООО “Direktsiya Festivalya Nauki”). Every year, Festivals of Science are visited by tens of thousands of people – pupils, students and their parents.
