Poligraphic complex (printing plant) - humanitarian aid from RRU to South

The printing plant is intended to make a wide range of materials -
textbooks, manuals, presentations, reports, informational and commercial
printed matters.

The most modern machinery made in Japan, Italy and Germany equips the
printing plant. The equipment is reliable and simple to handle, it does not
require big areas or specially conditioned rooms, or numerous personnel.

There are 11 kinds of heavy-duty poligraphic equipment in the plant, plus
computers for design and composition, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS)
and a stock of consumables for 6 months of work.

The core of the complex is the modern digital printer Canon ImagePRESS
C7000VP - the newest design of Japanese company Canon.

It features new toner, developing system and printing drum, improved system
of image transfer and oil-free system of double surface heating. Due to
these hi-tech features, it provides high-quality printing upon different
surfaces, including texturized and enamel papers. The printer has the high
speed of operation - 70 pages per minute, both for BW or color prints.

The main advantages of digital printers ImagePRESS C7000VP are:

. low prime cost of prints;

. stable high output (70 prints/min) upon materials with different
density - from 64 to 300 gr/sq.m;
. stunning quality of prints with physical resolution 1200x1200 dpi x
8 bit;
. wide color range, surpassing that of offset printing;
. the highest color stability within a print run (170% higher than
other similar systems);
. gloss or matt prints at request;
. big print size 330 x 487 mm;
. heavy-duty month workload up to 300,000 prints;
. simple operation and high reliability.

Besides the printer, there is a digital color copier Duplo DPS850 (Japan)
size A3, in the printing complex. It has work speed 150 sheets per minute,
and is able to print in 14 colors.

There is a set of finish equipment in the printing complex, too:

. Creaser MB1 (Japan) - for making picture postcards, invitation cards
and book jackets.

. Folding machine DF-915 (Japan) with work speed 200 sheets per minute -
for making folded booklets.

. Automatic stitcher DBM-120 (Japan) able to produce up to 2400 staple-
binded magazines or booklets per hour.

. Glue binder DB-200 (Japan) for making glue-binded magazines or
paperback books with size up to 320 x 400 mm and thickness up to 40
mm. Work speed is 200 cycles per hour.

. Heavy-duty roll laminator GMP Exselam350Q (Italy) for laminating
posters, bookcases, IDs, passes and similar matters.

. Electromechanical paper cutter IDEAL 4850 (Germany) able to cut paper
in reams, up to 80 mm thick.

. Press for hot foil blocking TIC-800TM (S. Korea) with pressure 2000 kg
max for bookcases, diplomas, passes and similar matters.

. Binders GBC WireBind 34 (Italy) for metallic spiral binder tape and
GBC Combind C 340 (Italy) for plastic spiral binder tape. The machines
are used to bind small runs of instructional materials, calendars etc.

. Powerful computers for design and composition, with big 22''
professional displays, UPS and corresponding software.



Main features of the new printing plant:

. completeness of the complex - it has all necessary printing, finishing
and computer equipment and starting kit of consumables for making
printed matters, having in view local conditions;

. ability to effectively print small runs of instructional and
scientific printing matters at minimal prime cost;

. ability to print high-quality production both BW and color;

. ability to print using a wide range of materials - from simple office
paper to sophisticated designer materials;

. compactness - a couple of rooms with total area about 100 sq. m is
enough to place all the equipment;

to different informational and promotional materials (booklets,
calendars, posters, albums etc.);
