Nowadays the education is the State priority, acting as a basic element in
human capital forming. We need a new education quality, which will
inevitably lead us towards wider possibilities of self-fulfilling of our
citizens - in the first place, the young generation.
It is senseless to discuss the new education quality within the
education community merely. This question is a matter of concern for every
citizen of our country and there is no place for monologue here. To discuss
this question we must engage representatives of business, science and civil
society. By mutual efforts only, one can reach right and effective
solutions.

The key factors to form the new quality of the higher education are,
first - science and economy integration, universities must be "generators
of ideas", and second - adjusting of education programs in order to prepare
highly qualified specialists, essential for society.

Certainly, a lot must be done, but we have laid the new foundation
already, including a renovated legislation, vast experience of the national
project realization, readiness of our educational system to correspond to
the changes in life of our society. Universities are on the right way
towards the new quality of education. With mutual efforts we will achieve,
first - the forming of innovative economy, economy of knowledge in Russia -
that means to reach the leading position in the world, and second - due to
the new education we will create the society of successful, self-fulfilling
citizens.
