Operations & Technology MIS specialist

Job Purpose:

• Assist O&T head on special projects, automation and process improvement initiatives related to Back Office
• Provide information and analytical support for Consumer Bank financials planning and forecasting

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze performance trends of different Back Office departments within the country, review productivity, handle time trends and pending variance.
• Assist O&T Head to ensure that all Citigroup Information Technology Management Policies are followed, that appropriate procedures are documented, controls are in place, and risks are identified and corrective action plans created and executed.
• Monthly close functions for Back Office, monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis, track specialized spending, mid-year forecast and annual budget development and reporting, conduction of various analyses of each area's key business drivers.
• Assistance in review and assessment of performance of various functional areas, suggest process and system enhancements to improve productivity and control. Assist in the identification of processes requiring controls and documentation of the same. Work on P&L analysis of all SMRs and other system and process enhancements raised by business.
• Monthly invoice and P&L processing for Back Office departments including the processing of all client and vendor payments, account payable.
• Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports and reconciliations as required (business reviews, pricing models etc.) Prepare and analyze monthly cost centre metrics and manpower. Provide oversight of invoicing process.
• Building, maintaining and continually development of Back Office transactional and financial databases using Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Reports, MS Access, Visual Basic, SQL, etc. Ensuring system data integrity, updating the systems for organizational changes, new product lines, developing new reports and assist in training the users of these systems.
• Work with local department managers and MIS team to create efficient and timely reports to meet business needs on a daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis. Assists management team to interpret data. Network with other departments to develop MIS and share best practices. The goal is to centralize, standardize and eliminate duplication of processes within the site and to utilize the latest technology to deliver quality service.

Ideal candidate's profile:

• major in Mathematics/Statistics/Information technologies/Economics/Finance;
• advanced PC user; strong Excel, Access, SQL is a must;
• mathematical statistics background is a plus
• ability to handle multiple tasks, analytical mindset, ability to learn quickly;
• strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
