Summary. Osherov -- the translator of Seneca. Translations of Seneca have never become the object of particular research. M. V. Lomonosov translated some parts of his tragedies and that was the first experience of translation into Russian. In 1920-s S. M. Solovyev translated 6 tragedies. But only S. A. Osherov translated all 10 tragedies. The Osherov's translation is the closest to the original text as a work of art in comparison with the other works. His translation reproduces features of Seneca's manner and style.
