Conferences of series "Cognitive Modeling" have been held with success since 1998. In 2000 the direction was specified as "Cognitive Modeling in Linguistics" (CML). In 1998 and 2000 CML conferences were held as a part of the National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (CAI). In 2001- as a part of the International Congress on Artificial Intelligence (ICAI-2001), which took place in Divnomorskoe (Russia). In 2002 the CML conference was held in Divnomorskoe as a part of the IEEE International Conference "Artificial Intelligence Systems" (IEEE AIS"02). Since 2003 till 2007 the CML conference took place in Bulgaria (Varna and Sofia). In 2008 the Conference will take place in Bechichi, Montenegro. The Program of CML-2008 includes Exhibition of Cognitive - Oriented Computer Applications and Linguistic Resources (organized by Moscow State Steel and Alloys Institute (Technological University)), Cognitive Science Workshop (organized by Psychology Department of Moscow State University), Tutorial in Computational Language Typology and Quantitative Comparativistics (organized by Institute of Linguistics of Russian Academy of Science). The aim of the conference is to integrate the efforts of specialists in cognitive science, cognitive psychology, learning theory, neural networks, cognitive linguistics, knowledge engineering, semiotics, psycholinguistics, etc. The results are expected to contribute to the investigation of cognitive processing of language information.

The Xth International Conference "Cognitive Modeling in Linguistics ­ 2008" will be held in Bechichi, Montenegro. Montenegro ­ the pearl of the Mediterranean, unique in many ways, is situated in the south of the Adriatic (http://www.visit-montenegro.com/). Bechichi, one of the most splendid resort places of Montenegro, is situated near other center of gothic history, Budva (only 2-3 km). Submission Details
A paper accepted for presentation at CML'2008 cannot be presented at another meeting with publicly available published proceedings. Papers that are being submitted to other conferences must indicate this on the title page. Notification of receipt and acceptance of papers will be sent to the first author. All submissions will be subject to academic peer review by at least two members of the Program Committee. Selection criteria include accuracy and originality of ideas, clarity and significance of results, and quality of presentation. For each accepted paper, at least one author is required to attend the conference to present the paper. Papers can be submitted in English or in Russian (with abstract in English) up to June 2, 2008 according to submission form.
