Doctor of Philology (1990), Professor, Head of Foreign Languages Department, Faculty of History.

Born: 10^th July, 1956, Leningrad.

Graduated from the Faculty of Philology, MSU, in 1978. Does research into the problems of lexicology. Candidate degree thesis: "Compound Nouns in Modern French (Nominal Compounding)". Doctoral degree thesis: "Word-building Patterns in Different Parts of Speech in the French Language".

Olga V. Rayevskaya delivers lectures on Italian and French Lexicology. She is the author of a number of works on word-building in French, a French language self-study book, a Russian-French and French-Russian Dictionary, regularly re-printed since 1992.
