Vladimir Viktorovich BELOKUROV - Pro-Rector

Head of the Research Policy, Research Project Management and Informatization Department

Born: September, 7, 1951, Moscow.

Doctor of Physics and Mathematics (1996).

Professor of the Quantum Statistics and Field Theory Department (1997), Pro-Rector - Head of the Research Policy, Research Project Management and Informatization Department (2001).

Vladimir V. Belokurov graduated from the MSU Faculty of Physics in 1974. 1977 - completed post-graduate studies at the Faculty. In 1977 Vladimir Belokurov started working at the Nuclear Physics Institute of MSU, first as a research fellow, then as a senior research fellow. From March, 1987 till April, 1992 he was Deputy Pro-Rector on Scientific Work. From May, 1992 till August, 2001 - Rector Counselor.

Vladimir Belokurov has conducted the research on mathematical problems of Quantum Field Theory, Quantum Calculations and Communications.

The results of the research work conducted by Vladimir V. Belokurov have become the basis for the development of a number of branches in quantum theory, including special methods for Feinman?s diagrams? calculation, the proofs found for the possibility of special asymptotic comportment of quantum models in the field of big energies, where the efficient constant link has the final non-zero value. By means of direct calculation of Feinman?s diagrams the asymptotic of quark formfactors required for description of a number of processes of adrons interaction was found in quantum chrome dynamics. The research on the peculiarities of application of the Perturbation Theory for Superstrings and Non-linear Two-dimensional Fields Theories. New classes of divergence free non-linear models of the quantum field theory have been discovered, as well as the new approach to calculating continual integrals and summing diverging sequences. In the fields of Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory and Statistical Physics the new theory with converging sequences, which is true for all the breaking down values, unlike the traditional Perturbation Theory, dealing with diverging asymptotic breaking up.

Vladimir V. Belokurov delivers such courses of lectures as "Quantum Fields", "Modern Methods in Quantum Field Theory" for students of the Faculty of Physics and "Mathematical Basics of Modern Quantum Physics" for students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

Vladimir V. Belokurov is the author of more than 80 publications, including 5 monographs.
