An application is invited for a PhD position at the Stochastic Information Processing Group (SIP), Computer Vision and Multimedia Laboratory (CVML), University of Geneva,Switzerland.
The successful applicant will be involved into research activity related
to the development of secure identification and authentication codes.
The candidate is expected to hold a MSc (Diploma) degree in electrical engineering/applied math/computer science with the strong background in information theory, digital communications, coding or statistical signal processing.
SALARY: about 50'000 CHF per annum - (see http://www.oanda.com/ for currency conversion).
STARTING DATE: as soon as possible.
PROGRAMMING SKILLS:
Experience in software development using Matlab is mandatory.
LANGUAGE: Excellent skills of speaking and writing English are mandatory, knowledge of French is welcome.
French is the spoken language in Geneva so some knowledge of French is necessary, as well
as the willingness to learn more in order to participate to department activities.
