Dear students,
I am a professor of computer science at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in
Vancouver, Canada, where I co-direct the Systems, Networking and
Architecture lab. My name is Alexandra Fedorova. I would like to invite you
to apply for graduate studies, Master's and Ph.D. as part of my lab in SFU's
School of Computing Science.
My research is on design of operating systems and other system software for
multicore processors. I am looking for students with strong programming
skills and passion for system design.
Our university guarantees stipend to all admitted students. The amount is
sufficient to cover tuition and living costs.
SFU is located in Vancouver. Vancouver is the site of 2010 Winter Olympics
and has been rated as #1 city in the world to live in by the UN.
The application deadline for Fall 2008 is February 1. If you do not manage
to submit all documents by that time, you can finish your application later.
It's important, however, to initiate your application by February 1. The
application can be completed online. When applying, specify my name in the
question about a potential supervisor.
