We wanted to let you know about a very exciting event taking place this August. You and your chapter members can tune in to the webcast of the ACM A.M. Turing Award Lecture being delivered at the ACM SIGCOMM 2005 (Data Communications Conference) by Vinton G. Cerf and Robert E. Kahn, recipients of the A.M. Turing Award for their pioneering work on internetworking, including the design and implementation of the Internet's basic communications protocols, TCP/IP, and for inspired leadership in networking.
The webcast of this historic event will take place on Monday, August 22nd, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Eastern Time). We think this would be a good opportunity for you to get your chapter members together and view the lecture as a group! Should you and/or your chapter not be able to take advantage of this webcasting, we will be providing the lecture in streaming format as well.
