Sensors based on nanostructured
semiconducting metal oxides for the detection of toxic and explosive
gases in the air
Research aimed at the development of effective detection of
hazardous airborne chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide , ammonia ,
carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide . Detectors include semiconductor
gas sensors and channels preconcentration of target gases porous
sorbents. Were adjusted composition of gas sensors sensitive materials
and materials preconcentrator for detecting CO, NO2, H2S, NH3 at the
MPC. Most of the work included the preparation of nanocrystalline
oxide doped with antimony , which was introduced in sensitive materials
in order to reduce the resistance of the sensor at the operating
temperature of the target gas in the atmosphere and in the air.
Investigations of the composition, structure , and
electrical properties of sensory parameters doped sensitive materials.
The effect of antimony on the detection limit , the dependence of the
sensor signal from the temperature and concentration of the target gas
, the effect of humidity on the properties of doped materials. Sensory
parameters are measured for each of the target gas concentration in the
range 0.5-10 on the MAC level of the working area .
