International Cooperation Experience
  • 1974 – 1982, PI of SAMBO International Experiment ( Simultaneous Auroral Multi – Balloons Observations). More than 70 balloons have been launched from Kiruna to Ural Mountains during five campaigns in cooperation with scientific groups from France, Sweden, Austria and Japan.
  • 1989 and 1991, PI of joint balloon campaigns in Brazil magnetic anomaly with University of Campinas and CNPQ.
  • 1993, 8 months Visiting professor in University of Campinas, Brazil
  • 1994, 12 months Visiting professor in University of Graz, Austria
  • 1996, 1998 4 months of joint research in Space Physics Division, Department of Physics of University of Bergen, Norway by Scholarship Program of the Research Council of Norway.

Main scientific interest: solar-terrestrial physics, including magnetospheric storms and substorms, radiation belts, energetic particle acceleration and precipitation, scientific ballooning, polar aurora. Additional interest: galactic and solar cosmic rays, polar ionosphere and ozone measurements.
