On June 4 and 5, 2015 the Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University will host a joint research seminar with scholars from Helsinki University (Finland). The topic of the seminar is “The future of media and communication policy research”.
The key topics for discussion at the seminar are:
- normative starting points (freedom of speech, pluralism, public service, public interest, etc.);
- methodological issues and approaches (comparative approach, new institutionalism, policy studies, media economy, media law);
- emerging issues and contradictions (public service media, copyright, privacy, Internet governance etc.).
During the seminar Finnish colleagues will present their ongoing research projects followed by short comments from Russian respondents. After that Russian participants will speak about their current research endeavors.
The seminar is scheduled for the following time:љ
