Main scientific direction:

Development of well defined inorganic materials for chemical and physical sensors on the base of complexe oxides, vanadates and phosphates.

History:

The Laboratory was founded in 1995 by Acad. Yu.D. Tretyakov. The laboratory staff carries out fundamental research on gas sensors on the base of SnO2; chemistry and technology of scandium; chemistry of complex oxides of zirconium, hafnium and rare-earth elements; chemistry of complex phosphates, vanadates, arsenates and tellurates of rare earths, gallium and scandium.

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF INORGANIC MATERIALS FOR GAS SENSOR APPLICATIONS
  • Synthesis of nanocrystalline metal oxides
  • Thin film heterostructure growth and characterisation
  • Surface reactions investigation
  • Study of doping effect and metal catalytic activity
  • Study of materials sensor properties
  • Realisation of thin films and ceramic solid state gas sensor prototypes
SENSOR MATERIALS ON THE BASE OF COMPLEXE PHOSPHATES AND VANADATES
  • Synthesis and characterisation of complexe phosphates and vanadates
  • Surface reactions study
  • Development of humidity sensor prototype
THERMOANALYSIS
  • Methodology of thermoanalysis of inorganic materials
  • C60 fullerites study
COMPLEXE OXIDES WITH PEROVSKITE STRUCTURE
