The Fund's means formed from yearly dues of the founders on the special account. The means are the set for yearly for scientists, geologists, students and post-graduates of Russian High School, for publishing materials of scientific reading, works of the Smirnov's Prize winners and scientists, developing the Smirnov's ideas. A part of means is directed for Smirnov's readings arrangement, financial aid, popularization of the Fund's purposes and activities.
The Founder Counsil or the Fund's Administration takes a decision on the Fund's mean distribution, on the prizes for scirntists, geologists, students, post-graduates and on list of Smirnov's reading publications.
The Administration consist of the Chairman, two Vice-chairmen and the scientific secretary.
The Fund is a public organization opened for new members. The Fund's members are State organizations and private firms, Russian persons and foreigners, who agree with thr Fund's Statute andpurposes and guarantee a financial support.
Since 1995 the Fund yearly publishes Smirnov scientific-literary anthology. It contains report of the Smirnov scientific readings, literary works of geologists (poems, stories, momories, friendly jests e.g.) and information about Fund's activity.
The Founders Counsil appeals to the world community, geological committees, scientific-research, industrial and commercial organizations and banks, Smirnov's followers in Russias and abroad to support the Fund. The ways of support are different: to be a founder, to pay a financial due, to participate in the Fund's activity and other.
In its activity the Fund maintain the best traditions of the geologist community, gives a supportfor clever youth researches, relationship between lectures, industrials and students.
