Underwriting Team Leader
An in-depth analysis of the data received from the credit bureau; Monitoring the time of processing credit applications; Confirmation of the data in available databases; Verification of the data provided by the client in the credit application - elimination of attempts to obtain credit by fraud (confirmation of the employment and the conducted business activity etc.); Verifying the correctness of the data entered in the application - clarifying any errors; Contacting the relevant persons to obtain opinion on the client; Effective utilisation of the credit risk assessment methods with respect to private persons and private persons conducting business activity; Forwarding credit decisions to the partners; Answers to partners' questions concerning the Bank's procedures and credit products; Forwarding queries to bank's verification agents; Notifying credit decisions; Reconciliation of data on clients; Clarifying misunderstandings and solving disputes; Monitoring the quantity and quality of the credit decisions; Requesting to grant or refuse to grant certificates to use external databases; Preparing reports to external companies, preparing internal reports; To implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Area Compliance Officer/Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators Managing daily work of the Underwriting Team
Experience and skills: KNOWLEDGE: The necessary knowledge involves the Russian Banking Law, Personal Data Protection regulations, the Civil Law, the Tax Law, methods of calculating income based on the financial documentation, methods of credit risk assessment as well as acquaintance with the internal Bank's Regulations and Procedures. University education is a must as well as numerous accomplished courses in economics, management, credit risk assessment plus English literacy. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a similar position is necessary to perform the above duties. The requirements include experience in credit risk assessment and in applying methods of its mitigation. Broad experience in identifying cases of obtaining credits by fraud. SKILLS: Analytical skills are a must; excellent communication skills - negotiation skills and practical ability to hold talks with Clients on the phone. Computer literacy (Ms Office, Lotus Notes, Internet). Ability to utilise information from external databases (NBKI, Global Payments, Experian-Interfax, internet databases). This person must be able to present leadership skills and manage a team of people by showing strong authority, organisation skills and capability of human resources management. The duties involve credit release (transfer of credit funds to the accounts of clients), it is therefore required that the person in this position be able to present an impeccable past record.
Collection Team Leader
Assistance in developing and improving the collection procedures; Telephone collection of amounts owed to the Bank in order to recover the Bank's claims; Assistance to the superior in the recruitment and training of new staff the Collection Department; Supervision over the telephone collection by collection specialists; Portfolio delinquency and recovery reporting; Liaising with Hardcore collection agencies; Monitoring strategic accounts; Preparing correspondence and responding for customers; Compliance; Supervision over the Collection Specialists as regards the number and quality of phone calls placed by them in order to collect the Bank's claims; Organising the segregation of work load among subordinate specialists, delivery of training in collection negotiations and maximising the labour efficiency.
Experience and skills:
EDUCATION: Master degree is required (in justified cases, Bachelor degree) in law, economics or business management. Necessary knowledge of Banking Law, Personal Data Protection and the knowledge of internal procedures and regulations of the Bank. The holder of this post should know banking products available on the market and have the in-depth knowledge of banking products offered by the Bank. In addition, the employee should undergo training in the legal opportunities for collection of the Bank's debts and in the ability to conduct collection negotiations. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience - at least 5 years of experience gained while working on a similar post in a bank rendering Personal Banking services (or in a debt collection agency processing customers of a bank rendering Personal Banking services) are necessary for the proper fulfilment of assigned duties. SKILLS: High negotiating skills; knowledge of telephone collection techniques; organisational skills; meticulousness and accuracy, precision in work, leader character. Necessary is the ability to work in a highly stressful situation and under pressure to attain goals, and also to improve the efficiency and productivity of labour. Computer literacy (Ms Office) and knowledge of operating systems Lotus Notes. Fluent English is a plus.
