The Group of Environmental Biotechnology. RUSSIAN ENGLISH
(The head - Dr. Sci. S.V. Kalyuzhnyi) The group works in the field of investigation and application of biocatalytic processes perspective for environmental protection and resource conservation
Main scientific directions:
1.		Kinetics and mechanisms of biomineralization (anaerobic and aerobic) of organic compounds including xenobiotics.
2.		Mathematical modelling of environmental biotechnology processes.
3.		Biocatalytical technologies of waste treatment: fundamental and applied aspects.
4. 5.		Biological sulfur, nitrogen and phosphorous cycles and its application for environmental protection and resource conservation. Bioremediation of aquatories and soils contaminated by oil and its derivatives.
Projects completed in 1996-2006. Current projects Developed technologies for possible commercialization.
