SCHEDULE OF EXCURSIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL VISITORS

Attention! We read every letter, but do not guarantee to answer all of them. Letters deviating from the subject, including letters inquiring about the purchase of new planting materials, agrotechnology etc, will be automatically deleted.

The excursion bureau of the MSU Botanical Gardens invites in May-October schoolchildren, students and anyone wishing to admire the open air collections and listen to the captivating stories about plants.

When agreed In advance with organized groups we conduct excursions on the following topics:

• Garden sightseeing tour. Flora diversity and plant adaptation to the environmental conditions (for schoolchildren, students, groups of adult visitors)
• Medicinal plants (for pharmaceutical and medical students)
• Plant taxonomy (for schoolchildren and university students)
• Wild and cultivated plants for landscape design and their horticulture (for students of higher educational institutions and students taking courses in landscape design)

We conduct excursions for individual visitors without advance booking, but according to the schedule, which you can see on this web site in the News section and on the page Excursions for individual visitors, as well as on the information board at the entrance to the Gardens.

Because we provide so many alternatives the question arises: which to choose, theme excursion or sightseeing tour?

There are the differences:

The tour offers a chance to see our Garden's pearl - the rock garden and (depending on the season) the arboretum or the ornamental plant collection. The tour will be interesting for those visiting our Gardens for the first time, as well as visitors with children of preschool and school age.

The theme excursion is usually conducted around a small Garden area and offers a close acquaintance with a particular display (the corner of the ornamental design) or culture (lilac, phlox, peonies, roses). Theme excursions will help to present the whole picture of cultivars and forms diversity and will be interesting for those wishing to know the peculiarities of cultivation and reproduction (these are usually conducted directly by the curator).
