Peer-review policies of the journal "Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta.
Seria XXIII. Antropologia»

Authors submit their manuscripts in printed format (2 copies) together
with the electronic version ("*.rtf") on CD/DVD and via email. Manuscripts
should be sent to the following postal address: 125009, Moscow, Mokhovaya
str., 11, Research Institute and Museum of Anthropology, Lomonosov Moscow
State University, Deputy Editor of the journal "Vestnik Moskovskogo
Universiteta. Seria XXIII. Antropologia" Dr. Vitaly M. Kharitonov.

A manuscript must be submitted to the Editors together with a cover
letter, in which the author declares 1) type of the publication; 2) that
the material has not been published before and has not been submitted
elsewhere; 3) that research used for the publication was carried out with
bioethical approval and consent and this information is included in the
text of the article.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal should be divided into the
following sections: Title page, Abstract (in Russian and English), Key
words (in Russian and English), Main manuscript text, List of references,
Tables, Figures and Figure captions. Detailed instructions for authors are
presented at the website: http://www.antropos.msu.ru/publication.html.
The Journal operates a double-blind peer-review policy.?All submitted
manuscripts are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief and suitable manuscripts
are sent for peer review. All reviewers, members of Editorial Board and
Editorial Council, are well-known specialists in corresponding fields of
research who have at least three publications in recent years complying
with the subject of the paper under review. The following aspects of the
manuscript are reviewed: relation to biological anthropology, originality
and novelty, clarity of main viewpoints, organization of the research and
quality of methods, reliability of main conclusions, structure of the
paper, compliance of the title with contents of the paper, quality of
references, quality of Russian summary, quality of English summary, ethical
problems (conflict of interest).
It is obligatory that the Editors send to authors copies of the
reviews or motivated rejection of the manuscripts.
Reviews, authors' answers and other materials are kept in the
Editorial office for 5 years. Copies of the reviews can be presented upon
request from the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation.
The Editors provide constant keeping of the published manuscripts,
their availability in printed and electronic format.
