The paper examines the main features of postmodern liberal ideology in its association with the current crises of life values. The author discusses the characteristics of Russian national elites in their relation and comparison with global business elites. It gives predictions on the likely course of the world's development in the near future as well as determining the primary direction of necessary changes for Russian politics in this new context. The paper sets th e objectives for moral and normative transformation and formulates the main aims for Russian sociological science.
