This article analyzes one of the most serious problems of the Russian society ­ the youth extremism and its prevention. The notions of extremism, youth extremism, prevention are considered. Such assignments of preventing extremism activity as development and strengthening of youth policy, counterextremism ideology, youth employment are emphasized. The author draws a conclusion that the important thing is elaboration of scientifically proved effective anti-extremism strategy regarding the particularities of the Russian society.
