A Generalized Zel'dovich-Neumann-Döring Model of Steady Gaseous Detonation / Gendugov V.M. // Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta. Seriya 1. Matematika. Mekhanika. 2010. ? 5. P. 37-43 [Moscow Univ. Mech. Bulletin. Vol. 65, No 5, 2010. P. 97-104]. A model of N-component gas mixture detonation whose combustion zone is formed by n (1≤n≤N-1) independent reactions satisfying the kinetic formulation of the mass action law is studied. In the framework of this model, it is found that there exist two possible types of self-sustaining detonation waves with asymptotically stable combustion zones. It is shown that it is possible to observe only a strong wave propagating in the Chapman-Jouguet regime relative to the flow on the critical surface. It is also shown that, for a perfect gas mixture, this wave appears only when a combustion zone is formed by one or two reactions.
