2 possible solutions: 1) define (or add, if you've got the variable) setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH $LHAPDFPATH/lib 2) correct your $(COMPHEP)/F77LIBS. it has got a path to a shared libLHAPDF.so, merely remove the path (I guess -L/usr/local/lib) and add -Llib. In that case, linker will take $(COMPHEP)/lib/libLHAPDF.a On Fri, Aug 1, 2008 at 5:41 PM, Yong YANG <Yong.YANG at cern.ch> wrote: > hi Alexander, > > with lhapdf , comphep compiled without problem, there is a correct link to > the lib. > lib/libLHAPDF.a -all > lrwxrwxrwx 1 yangyong zh 26 Aug 1 18:23 lib/libLHAPDF.a -> > /usr/local/lib/libLHAPDF.a > > but under > test directory when I execute > ./comphep > > it say, > error while loading shared libraries: libLHAPDF.so.0: cannot open shared > object file: No such file or directory > > do you have any suggestion about this? > > Thanks, > Yong > > > On Fri, Aug 1, 2008 at 4:50 PM, Alexander Sherstnev > <cherstn at hep.phy.cam.ac.uk> wrote: >> >> There is a short instruction in >> comphep-4.5pre5/doc/LHAPDF_in_CompHEP-HOWTO >> >> a couple of comments: >> 1) it is better to use the last LHAPDF version (now: 541) >> 2) be careful with FORTRAN compilers. if you use gfortran, you need to >> add -lgfortran (maybe with a path to it) to F77LIBS.
