MSU will contribute to a new youth project ?Arctic Expedition?

On November 6, the International Youth Forum ?Arctic Expedition? has been presented during the First Festival of the Russian Geographical Society held at the Central House of Artists. Federal Agency for Youth Affairs ?Rosmolodezh?, Russian Geographical Society and Lomonosov Moscow State University contribute to the organization of the forthcoming forum.

The Forum will be held at the beginning of 2015 and will be composed of two rounds. The first round will take place in Tver Oblast from February 2 to February 7, while the second round will take place in April at the Russian drifting polar station ?Barneo.? On November 6, the selection campaign to determine the list of participants of the International Youth Expedition to the North Pole started. 150 winners will have the opportunity to participate in the first round of the Forum.

Professor Tatiana Kortava who is the Vice-rector and the Head of the Department of Talented Youth Affairs and Professional Orientation at the Lomonosov MSU noted: ?The project has a big prospect and will become the driver of future research innovations.?

It is expected that participants from all countries of the Frigid Zone will contribute to the Forum.
