?Lomonosov? Olympiad for School Pupils
The first ?Lomonosov? Olympiad for school pupils was held in 2005 under the motto ?Via scientiarum?, which means ?The way to the knowledge? in Latin.
The 2012-2013 Olympiad was held in 22 subjects (subject classes) all of which have been included in the project of the List of Olympiads for School Pupils: Biology, Chemistry, Foreign Languages, Geography, Geology, History, Informatics, International Relations and Globalistics, Journalism, Law, Literature, Mathematics, Mechanics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Robotics, Russian Language, and Social Studies. The in absentia stage of the Olympiad started on November 12, 2012.
The 2011-2012 Olympiad was held in 21 subjects (subject classes), out of which 19 were included in the List of Olympiads for School Pupils approved by the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science: Biology, Chemistry, Foreign Languages, Geography, Geology, History, Informatics, International Relations and Globalistics, Journalism, Law, Literature, Mathematics, Mechanics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Russian Language, Social Studies. The in absentia stage of the Olympiad started on November 15, 2011.
The participants of the 2010-2011 Olympiad were represented by 32229 school pupils from 83 jurisdictions of the Russian Federation, 15892 non-resident participants, 2290 competitors from rural areas, 274 pupils with disabilities, 168 orphans and 687 participants from foreign countries (including countries which are members of CIS). The number of prize-winners of the Olympiad amounted to 2043 pupils.
In order to provide equal access to all participants wishing to join the school Olympiad movement from different regions of the country, Olympiads are held in several jurisdictions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries, in addition to Moscow.
The Mendeleev International Olympiad in Chemistry for School Pupils
The Mendeleev International Olympiad in Chemistry for School Pupils is the direct successor to the All-Union Olympiad in Chemistry for School Pupils which was held for the first time in 1967.
The 46th Mendeleev International Olympiad in Chemistry for School Pupils was held in Kazakhstan in the 2011-2012 school year.
Last year the Olympiad was held at Moscow State University. Its participants included 96 high school students from 15 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
The Olympiad was composed of 3 stages, including 2 theoretical rounds and 1 experimental round. The prize-winners of the Olympiad were represented by 10 school pupils from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The second-order diplomas were awarded to 19 participants, the third-order diplomas were given to 28 pupils.
The All-Russia Internet Olympiad ?Nanotechnologies ? a Breakthrough into the Future?
The All-Russia Internet Olympiad ?Nanotechnologies ? a Breakthrough into the Future? held in 4 subject classes (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology) is a unique event. Not only does it target the development of creative capabilities and the acquisition of new skills by participants, but it also aims at improving the quality of education in the area of natural sciences.
The topics of the Olympiad assignments include elements of chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, medicine, and materials science, specifically their application to modern achievements in the development of nanotechnologies.
The 2010-2011 Olympiad had 8 winners, the second-order diplomas were awarded to 12 pupils and the third-order diplomas were given to 10 participants of the Olympiad.
The Olympiad ?Conquer the Vorobyovy Gory!? for School Pupils
The Olympiad ?Conquer the Vorobyovy Gory? for school pupils is organized by the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the ?Moskovsky Komsomolets? newspaper since 2005.
In 2013 (as well as in 2012) the Olympiad was held in 8 subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Foreign Languages, History, Literature, Mathematics, Physics, and Social Studies.
The selection round of the 2011 Olympiad recorded over 11000 participants. The number of prize-winners of the Olympiad amounted to 348 high school students from various regions of the Russian Federation.
Since 2006, regular rounds of the Olympiad are being organized in several cities of the Russian Federation, in addition to Moscow. The 2011 Olympiad was held in Arkhangelsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Rostov-On-Don, and Ufa.
The Olympiad ?Public Audit? for School Pupils
The Olympiad ?Public Audit? for school pupils in 3 subject classes (Social Studies, Economics and History) is organized by the Lomonosov Moscow State University since February 2009.
The in absentia round of the 2011 Olympiad was held in the form of a creative competition. It was joined by 335 participants from 58 regions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries. The regular round held on March 27 recorded 66 participants from 22 regions of the Russian Federation. 21 school pupils became prize-winners.

The Olympiad ?M.V. Lomonosov Tournament? for School Pupils
The M.V. Lomonosov Tournament is an annual competition in mathematics, physics, astronomy and Earth sciences. The aim of the Tournament is to provide participants with material for thought and to encourage them to pursue serious scientific activities.
The Olympiad assignments are designed for pupils of the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grades. Any school pupil can participate in the Tournament. Competitions in all subjects run simultaneously in different halls during 5-6 hours. Participants (except 11th grade pupils) can move freely from one hall to another, choose independently a subject and decide on the amount of time allocated to each subject. The 11th grade pupils complete assignments in a single hall.

The All-Russia Tournament of Young Physicists
The Olympiad ?All-Russia Tournament of Young Physicists? for school pupils has already been held 34 times. This is an exciting competition where participants act as presenters, opponents and reviewers in the discussion of solutions for suggested research problems. The team of the 2012 Tournament winners represented the country at the ?International Tournament of Young Physicists? held in Germany on July 20-29, 2012.
