Scientific interests:

Ferroelectric phase transitions induced by off-center impurities, effect of impurities and random fields on these phase transitions, IV-VI narrow-gap semiconductors and oxide ferroelectrics, structural studies of solid solutions using synchrotron radiation and X-ray absorption (EXAFS) spectroscopy, computational materials science, first-principles density-functional theory studies of ferroelectrics and ferroelectric superlattices.
