CONFERENCE WEBSITE The conference website has been launched: http://stipomat.epfl.ch. This website will be regularly updated and contains (hopefully) all information regarding the conference. In case there are any questions that are left open, please do not hesitate to contact us. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND DEADLINE We kindly ask all invited speakers to send us the title of your presentation as well as a short abstract at your earliest convenience, but not later than June 8, 2007. Abstracts and titles should be submitted on-line via the conference website. Please follow the instructions under "abstract submission". FINAL PROGRAMME We aim to publish the final programme of the meeting on the conference website in the week after the deadline for abstract submission. POSTER GRANTS We are aiming at a conference with 80 - 90 participants, with ~ 40 invited speakers and 40 - 50 poster presenters (in particular early career researchers, i.e. PhD students and postdocs). We have a budget from the European Science Foundation, which will enable us to cover the local accommodation costs (full board hotel accommodation in Les Diablerets for the duration of the conference) for 40 - 50 poster presenters. In this way, these participants only will have to cover their travel expenses from and to Les Diablerets and we hope that this will encourage many PhD students and postdocs to submit an abstract for a poster presentation. This should be done via the conference website. We would be very grateful if you could distribute this information among your PhD students and postdocs and encourage them to submit poster abstracts. Please also do not hesitate to distribute this information to other colleagues who are not on the mailing list. We are grateful for any help to publicize this conference as broadly as possible.
