Ilyas and Mahgoub, both affiliated with the College of Engineering at Florida Atlantic University, have selected chapters from the Handbook of Sensor Networks to create a reference on the design and performance of smart dust sensor networks. The book focuses on applications, protocols, tracking technologies, data gathering and processing, energy management, and security. The audience for the book includes designers and planners for emerging telecommunication networks. The book can also be used as a test for research-oriented courses that deal with wireless sensor networks.
