AbstractSkin image segmentation semi-automatic algorithm for highfrequency ultrasound probes with 75 MHz has been designed. The method includes a specific image filtering procedure followed by multiframe active contour algorithm to detect borders between the epidermis and the dermis and between the dermis and subcutaneous fat tissue.
