First Russian-French Laser Physics Workshop for Young Scientists (RFLPW-YS) will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, on July 3-9, 2004.
This Workshop is intimately connected with the series of traditional Russian-French Laser Symposium (RFLS), which became now a driving force for collaboration between French and Russian labs, and is targeted at the young scientists who either just entered the field of laser physics, nonlinear and quantum optics, laser materials, quantum information, or already actively work in the field for a while. Key purpose of the Workshop is to bring together young scientists (PhD students or similar) from both France and Russia to stimulate their international scientific contacts and enlarge their range of interests.
