Setup for high-resolution luminescence spectroscopy
Optical spectroscopy enables one to characterize substances and measure the parameters of light sources and detectors with high resolution and in a wide spectral range. Optical cryogenic setup allows measuring emission and absorption spectra at the temperatures of 2-100 K, which is extremely important for accurately characterizing new materials (semiconductors, ceramics, etc.). |

Components
- HR 640 monochromator (Jobin-Yvon, USA)
- Detectors and light sources for visible and IR spectral ranges (400-5500 nm)
- Electronic appliances (Stanford Research System, USA)
- PC-based system for automatic control and data analysis (National Instruments, USA)
- Cryogenic setup for optical spectroscopy
Applications
-
Measurement and monitoring of the spectral characteristics of lasers, laser and light-emitting diodes, detectors, etc.;
-
Analysis of the spectral features of the items used in optical communication systems;
-
Low-temperature photoluminescence for characterizing energy states in solid bodies (semiconductor structures) in the temperature range of 2-300 K;
-
Low-temperature measurements of the absorption and emission spectral characteristics of substances and elements.
