Supercomputing Applications
In 2014, MSU Supercomputing Center provided services for more than 2500 users from MSU, Russian Academy of Sciences and other organizations with about 600 research and educational projects.
Below is the distribution of users applications by precise areas (we used the classifier of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research). The most number of projects belongs to Chemistry and Physics - about 30% of total number of projects for each of these areas.
It has become a common practice in MSU Supercomputing Center for scientific groups to annually provide the results of HPC aided research. Every report passes through expert review. The results of reviews influence quotas, priorities, etc. for the project.
To give an idea of real applications scope variety, we provide key information on a number of interesting recent projects. Projects titles and description are given in the authors edition.
