A Technical Support System for an Educational Course
Abstract
Nowadays, due to evolution of communication technologies, a great attention paid to distance learning. At the same time, distance learning techniques can be used to increase effectiveness of traditional educational courses. This paper describes a technical support system which has been successfully used at CMC faculty of Moscow State University for three years. The system is built around a constantly updated web-site with lecture materials, practical assigns and a library. Students submit exercises by email to an automated system which saves submission in a database. Lecturer and support crew work with this database to produce student grades which automatically appear on the web site. Keywords: computer graphics education, technical support, multimedia curriculum, computer science education.
