Dean of the Faculty of Global Studies ��� Professor Ilya V. Ilyin.

He was born on July 25, 1973 in the village Pravdinsk, Balakhninsky district of Gorky region. (now ��� Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod region).
He is dean of the Faculty of Global Studies of Moscow State University (was elected by MSU Academic Council in 2012, since 2007 ��� acting dean); head of the Department of Global studies of FGS Moscow State University (since 2009); head of the Laboratory of educational technologies and Youth Policy at Training Institute, Moscow State University (2004-2013).

The whole life of I.V. Ilyin is connected with Moscow University. In 1998 he graduated from the Geological Faculty of Moscow State University with honors. In 1999 he defended his master’s dissertation on paleontology. In 2004 he was awarded the degree of PhD of geological-mineralogical sciences for PhD theses. In 2008 Ilyin passed retraining in “political science”. In 2008 he was awarded the academic title of Docent in the Department of Sociology and Political Science. Since 2009 he has been working as a professor. In 2011 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Political Sciences after the defense of doctoral dissertation.
He worked in university administration in the position of deputy of Chief of protocol events (2002 – 2005). Ilyin is the Vice President ��� General Secretary of the International Association for Global Studies (since 2010); Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Consortium ���Global Studies��� (2012 – 2013); Chief editor of the scientific journal ” Moscow University Global studies and Geopolitics Bulletin”(since 2011); Member of the Academic Council of the Moscow State University (since 1997); Member of the International Academy of Noosphere (Sustainable Development) (since 2009) and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (since 2011).
Author and co-author of about 250 scientific works, including 10 monographs (the most important are: “Theoretical and methodological basis of global studies”, “Evolutionary global studies: the concept of the evolution of global processes”, “Modeling of nonlinear dynamics of global processes”, “Global Geopolitics”, “Global Studies in the context of the political processes”, “The global evolutionism: ideas, problems and hypotheses”, “Theory and practice of the political globalistics”, “Global researches and evolutionary approach”), 5 textbooks (the most important are: “Introduction to the global ecology”, “Introduction to paleoglobalistics”, “Global socionatural processes and systems”), Chief editor and compiler of the encyclopedic reference book “Global Studies: people, organizations, publications�, as well as the author and co-author of several popular scientific books, dictionaries, and numerous articles.
He is the member of the editorial boards of several national and foreign scientific journals; among them are: “The age of globalization: the study of contemporary global processes”, “Geopolitics and Security�, �Journal of Globalization Studies� and others.
He is the initiator of holding International Scientific Congress “Global Studies” (2009, 2011, 2013). Ilyin is one of the founders of the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of globalistics, globalization and global studies; he owns the justification of the concept of global evolutionism and model of globalization through sustainable development (neoglobalizm); actively participates in the development of new research directions, such as political and evolutionary globalistics, paleo-, futuro- and cosmoglobalistics, global ecology and geopolitics; creation of a new classification of global processes, systems and problems; has research on studying of impact of global natural processes on the prospects of development of human society, identifying opportunities to create mechanisms of global governance of political and economic processes, creating the modern scientific picture of the world, taking into account the factors of global development as a combination of co-evolve global processes and systems.
He lectures the number of academic courses, including “Introduction to global studies and international relations”, “Actual problems of global research,” etc; is one of the developers of a number of new educational programs, including “The political globalistics”, “Global natural processes”, “Evolutionary globalistics” etc.
Ilyin is a member of the Dissertation Scientific Council in Political Science at Moscow State University.
Ilyin have been keeping great social activities during many years. Founder and leader of a number of student organizations and youth movements: MSU Student Union (President 1997-2005); MSU Youth Council (Chairman 2004-2012); Russian Union of Students (President 1998-2004); Eurasian Student Association (Chairman of the Board 1997-2000; President 2000-2005); International organization of assistance public diplomacy, scientific, education and youth cooperation “Eurasian Commonwealth” (President since 2010); Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs under the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Science, Technology and Education (Executive Secretary 2007-2009; Vice-President 2009-2013); Ltd. �Youth Union of the Fatherland” (1999); Regional public movement “Universal Alterglobalistics League” (2005), etc. A series of publications devoted to the study of the history of the student movement, contemporary youth policy and the latest social and political movements of anti alterglobalists.
Ilyin is chairman of educational-methodical council in “Organization of work with youth.”
