RAS Discussed the Issues of Information and Psychological Security of BRICS

The article presents a review of the work of the round-table discussion on “Information and Psychological Security of BRICS” in the framework of the first international scientific conference “BRICS: Development Strategies and Mechanisms for Collaboration and Cooperation”. At the event a wide range of problems of economic and political development of the member countries of the BRICS were discussed, with particular attention paid to the problems and risks associated with information and psychological warfare.
First of all, this issue was discussed in the eight academic papers and subsequent discussions. Among the topics covered at the round-table were: Advanced ICTs, new opportunities and risks of strategic communication for the BRICS countries, the threat of cybersecurity of BRICS: the example of Brazil; BRICS and the formation of a multipolar information environment, etc.
