Problem Management and Crisis Management: Two Approaches to Managing Organizational Problems

In the article organizational difficulties are analyzed, based on their potential consequences for an organization, within the frameworks of two closely related by separate disciplines: problem management and crisis management. Problem management is closely connected to strategic planning and is responsible for preventing or minimizing strategy breaks, which have a significant on the company’s most sensitive stakeholders. Inefficient problem management may lead to stakeholders leaving the company thus creating a potential crisis situation. In that case, crisis management must be used to resolve the issue.
