The article examines the features of e-government in public administration in Ukraine. The main stages of e-government development and implementation in Ukrainian customs bodies are considered. Much attention is focused on modern information and telecommunication systems and technologies and their role in the formation of effective public administration mechanisms in customs affairs in Ukraine. Key priorities of the customs system in the application of modern e-government methods and tools are defined. Furthermore, the prospects of development and improvement of an integrated system "E-Customs" are considered. The authors stress the importance of e-government in customs bodies for the improvement of customs system efficiency.
