Assessment of the Development of Regional Innovation System in Its Socio-economic Environment

This paper formulates a concept of innovation system and presents its general theoretical model. The authors analyzed the performance of innovation system and socio-economic environment as a linear function. The paper describes the logical link between indicators, which exists mainly due to the generation all economic resources in the socio-economic environment. The researchers matched factor scores for the assessment of regional innovation potential, calculated the integral indexes and constructed typological grouping of regions, which determine the direction of future research and modeling.
